"Servant of the Aswang" released today by Penumbra eMag

My story, "Servant of the Aswang," was released yesterday in Penumbra's A Night at the Villa Diodati themed issue. I haven't gotten my contributor copy yet, but I'm under the impression this will be an awesome set of creature stories, from the rare and unheard up, to the absolutely fabricated. My story is a dark fantasy set in modern-day Philippines. It's available for purchase for $3.99 in PDF here.

  1. "Servant of the Aswang" is a far superior story than the usual hack and slash that typically floods the horror genre. Powerful imagery invokes sheer terror of the aswang! Genuinely unnerving it was a fun read. I was riveted from beginning to end and can't wait to read other stories that include the untapped and rare Filipino horror.

  2. I wish the story was longer! I really liked reading a story about this dark and strange creature/woman called the Aswang! It had just enough Filipino mixed in to make it exotic and strange and it make me want to know more.

  3. Thanks, guys! I appreciate the feedback!
